Marin County

Marin County is highly dependent upon Russian River water which provides 25% of the water being used in central and southern Marin and 80% of the water used in northern Marin areas such as Novato for drinking, fire protection, agriculture, industry, etc.

The decommissioning of the Potter Valley Project could significantly impact Marin County by reducing the reliable Russian River water supply that supports drinking water, fire protection, agriculture, and industry.
